2018 La Vida Awards: Best Celebrity Superfan

In the world of baseball, music reigns supreme. From batting practice music, to walk up songs, players love to listen to their favorite tunes as they’re getting ready to make plays. But musicians often want to be right there with them, sharing the spotlight.

This past season, we’ve seen three musicians who’ve been spotted at games, hanging with their favorite players and representing their favorite teams.

Honorable Mention:
Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee, a proud Boricua and baseball lover, attended the Twins vs Indians Puerto Rico series in April at Hiram Bithorn Stadium and threw out the first pitch.

Throughout the season, he’s kicked it with Javy Báez.

And has supported fellow Puerto Rican, Kiké Hernández and Los Doyers.

Honorable mention:
J.Lo

J.Lo threw her support to her Dominican beau and former Yankees superstar, Alex Rodriguez exactly one year ago as the Yankees were in search of a new manager.

Her tweet made headlines saying: it couldn’t be clearer… #arodforyankeesmanager

Although A-Rod didn’t become the Yankees manager, J. Lo kept up with baseball by attending the All-Star and postseason games with A-Rod.

She even took a picture with fellow Puerto Rican and World Series Champion Rookie manager, Álex Cora.

Salvador Pérez and Javy Báez along with a plethora of other baseball players were in attendance. The Puerto Rican native is always representing his island and the players from it. In the video for his “I Like It” collab with Cardi B and J. Balvin, he rocked a Carlos Beltrán Puerto Rican national team jersey.

Throughout the season, Bad Bunny has been to Wrigley Field hanging with the Cubs.

And Safeco Field to spend time with the Mariners.
