El Bullpen: The 2018 Latino All-Stars, plus Kendrys’ colada power

¡LOS NUESTROS!
Lots of Latino representation in the 2018 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Here’s who to watch for next week.
COUPLE OF CUBBIES
The Chicago Cubs have two Latino starters in the All-Star Game in Javy Báez and Willson Contreras. The team put together a great video capturing the emotional moment they found out they were headed to D.C. for the mid-summer classic.

¡COLADA POWER!
Kendrys Morales of the Toronto Blue Jays is letting his bat do the talking as one of the most accomplished Cubano peloteros in Las Mayores. His homer on July 8th made him the fifth Cuban-born player to hit 200 lifetime home runs.

WILMER’S WALKOFFS
Wilmer Flores’ pinch-hit, walk-off home run in the tenth inning against the Phillies in the first game of a doubleheader at Citi Field on Monday put him in unique company in Mets history. It was his tenth walk-off hit, surpassing David Wright in the all-time franchise walk-off hits list. Congratulations Wilmer! Walk it off…

TEAMWORK
It has been said a team that eats together, wins together. Well, that may or may not be true but at least Wilson Ramos thinks so as he shows us how the Rays enjoy a team dinner.
CUBAN SLUGGER
Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington D.C. is hosting “Cuban Slugger,” an exhibition by Cubano artist Reynerio Tamayo, coinciding with the All-Star Game at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
