El Bullpen: Baseball thanks Adrián Beltré
By Andy Martinez
On Tuesday, Adrián Beltré announced his retirement from Major League Baseball after 21 seasons.
His retirement announcement was bittersweet in the fact that we will no longer see El Koja on the field hitting more milestones, but, at the same time, we along with the rest of the baseball world is looking five years down the road – to a potential trip to Cooperstown, N.Y.
His announcement drew a lot of love and support from current and former players, franchises and the Baseball Hall of Fame. It’s truly evident: Beltré is well respected and will be very missed.
