Tuesday night in Philadelphia Yadier Molina caught his 1,757th game for the St. Louis Cardinals and now holds the record for the most career games caught with one team in MLB history.

Baltimore Orioles legend Brooks Robinson was on hand for the High School All-Star Game named after him. During pre-game he took some time to meet with Manny Machado in the Orioles dugout.
LOOKING FRESCO
Former Boricua pelotero Carlos Beltrán visited the National Baseball Hall of Fame for the first time Tuesday and he looks as if he can still take some turns at the plate. These days Beltrán is a fan and made a special visit to the hallowed grounds in upstate New York.
MAGO BEING MAGO
Thursday afternoon Javy Báez was up to his usual tricks at a matinee at Wrigley Field for the series finale against the Dodgers. “El Mago” made a spectacular unassisted double play to help the Cubs take the series from Los Angeles and make us all continue believe in his magic.
KENDRYS EL CUMPLEAÑERO
Some people like giving themselves gifts for their birthday. Take Kendrys Morales, for instance. He gifted himself a two-run bambinazo to right field of Rogers Centre Wednesday afternoon. It was his fourth career home run on his birthday.
BAT BONING?
Former Mexican pelotero Vinny Castilla who now works in the Rockies front office taught some youngsters the art of “Bat Boning.” Apparently, bats made out of ash wood are less thick than maple bats. By rubbing these ash bats against a large sturdy object like a giant animal bone, you may get a longer shelf life out of said bat.
The Graduate
¡Felicitaciones Orlando! This week former boricua pelotero Orlando Merced graduated with honors from a criminal justice school in his native Puerto Rico at the tender age of 51. Merced showed us it is never too late to go back to school and make it happen!
