Cora, Red Sox invited to White House
The World Series champion Boston Red Sox are scheduled to visit the White House on Feb. 15. Boricua manager Álex Cora has stated he is planning on attending. Cora was critical of President Donald Trump’s comments about Puerto Rico last season. He said in an interview that if he goes, he will “represent Puerto Rico the right way.” He’s done that in the past and we know he can do it now!

Rodríguez, Vázquez train together
Speaking of the Red Sox, what’s better than getting a workout in before Spring Training? How about getting a workout in with your battery mate? That’s what Red Sox teammates Eduardo Rodriguez and Christian Vázquez did Thursday. Rodríguez shared a video of him pitching to Vázquez. That’s how you respond to your bitter rival signing a top free agent reliever, huh?

Wilmer headed to the desert
Free agent Wilmer Flores found a new home in the desert. The Venezolano will trade the chilly temperatures of New York for the warmer climate of Arizona, agreeing to a one-year, $3.75 million deal with the Diamondbacks. Hopefully he finds a place with a pool for his off days!
White Sox continue prospect trip in DR
The Dominican trip for White Sox prospects continues: thirteen American-born prospects watched Tuesday’s playoff game between the Tigres del Este and Leones del Escogido. It proved to be an eye-opening experience for all, as The Athletic’s James Fegan shares.
Pro Post of the Day
We might have gotten a glimpse of Toronto’s future Thursday morning. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. shared a picture of him with Lourdes “Yunito” Gurriel Jr. on Instagram. Could those Fisher Cats jerseys be replaced with Blue Jays unis in a few months?
Fan Post of the Day
The Dominican championship series is revving up and Toros del Este fans are excited. But it’s not just their admirers in the DR who are pumped. The team shared a crazy video of these fanáticos cheering on the Toros from the Netherlands. Time zones be damned!
