They were fierce competitors during the 1960s in the National League. Tony Pérez and Roberto Clemente played against each other for almost a decade in the big leagues, and were teammates in the All-Star Game three times.

But the relationship between the two was so much deeper than a baseball diamond could define. For Pérez, a Cuban player who lived in Puerto Rico after leaving his home, the bond of the two Latino Hall of Famers is powerful still today.
