Yadi goes yard, Vladdy Jr. comes up clutch and Alfaro goes deep twice

Yadi goes yard and makes Cardinals history

As the Cardinals seek to reclaim the N.L. Central, every game has become a must-win affair.

Yadier Molina continued his hot streak with a no-doubt homer to put his team up 6-2.

The homer tied Molina with Matt Holiday for 11th all-time in Cardinals history for homers.

Felicidades, Yadi!

Vladdy Jr. comes up clutch

Bottom of the ninth, two outs and men in scoring position with the game on the line. It’s a situation that kids dream about, but few are able to live out.

For Vladimir Guerrero Jr. that situation became reality on Monday night and, boy, did he deliver.

The rookie poked a single right up the middle to tie the game 9-9 and push it into extra innings.

The Blue Jays would later win 11-10 in 15 innings.

Alfaro goes deep twice

The Marlins season may be all but over, but that doesn’t mean they can’t play spoiler to other teams still in the hunt.

Jorge Alfaro did just that on Tuesday night against the Mets.

In the second inning, Alfaro put the Marlins on the board with a solo blast.

He followed up his solo shot with a grand slam to put the Marlins firmly in the lead.

La Makina esta listo

As the Twins prepare for a deep postseason run, Jose Berrios is getting himself ready to be a major contributor.

La Makina posted a photo of him throwing a bullpen on Instagram. The caption: “You have two options. Prepare or prepare to fail.”

We reckon Berrios will be very prepared come October.

Chapman swag meets Marc Anthony

Before the Yankees begin a two-game set against the Rays, closer Aroldis Chapman took in an off day with Latino pop sensation Marc Anthony.

Yes, we’re very jealous.
